Ever since the boys left to school I’ve been trying to decide how to re-vamp their bedrooms. Something that will feel warm and comfy, yet a bit more neutral for either a male or female.
There’s something I like about each of these bedrooms. I’m looking at paint colors, accessories, bedding and headboards.
Which one is your favorite?
(love the shutters minus the wreath)
As I type these words I’m heading out of town for a week and when I get back I’ll show you my Fall mantel. Here’s a peek at one of my projects..
What are you working on these days?…
xoxo

The blue bedroom with the sleigh bed is my favorite! Looks very serene and relaxing.
I love the shutters in number 3, but they would become a pain to dust.
I love the blue room with the white ottoman, but the black/beige rooms seem to be more neutral for the boys' rooms.
I love the chandelier in the blueish/grayish room and that last bedroom with the big mirror is lovely! What fun to have a room to make your own!
You have such beautiful taste! I love the toile wallpaper one, the first one and the blue room with the checkered bed.

Each one of these rooms has something different to offer, so it's really tough for me to pick a favorite. In looking at all of these in succession, I can see a common thread of the rustic with the charming and the use of colors that don't naturally go well with one another, or at least are a "fresh" look. I like the black with the cream...I've never been a fan of black until I saw how it can be made a bit more feminine.
Keep us posted! Ironically, we're working on out master and I'm leaning towards gray and creams.

The last bedroom with that arched mirror is hands down my favorite. I love the room right before it too, but then again I am a sucker for white rooms with pieces of dark wood whether in antique furniture or in picture frames like in this room. The stripes are nice too. I can't wait to see your fall mantle.
isnt' it fun to have a blank slate from which to work? I'm doing exactly the same thing with one of our bedrooms now that youngest son has taken his bed, etc. for his college digs.
Have a great time away!!
I like the blue room with the blue plaid bedspread and the chandelier.
One or two for sure!!!!
love your chalkboard, the sentiment (lord knows i need that attitude), and the last bedroom you featured which just takes my breath away with its character, uniqueness, and warmth. but all these images are inspiring!
best to you on your trip and as you zhush the house into autumn.

Leslie, I love every room! So many great inspiration photos!
I am looking forward to seeing your autumn decor!
Enjoy your trip, be safe,

LOVE the inspiration shots Leslie and love the little peek of your mantel!
I love all of the rooms but number one is calling out to me! I hope you're enjoying your weekend! xxoo
Lots of inspiration in these photos, Leslie...but number 1 calls to me...
I love the wall colour on #6 ~ and you could do neutrals with greys and such then it would work for the boys when they come home and you can still "pretty" it up for guests. So exciting ~ please keep us in the loop!
The first three are my favorites. Love those shutters!! (minus the wreath;) The rustic woods mixed with the whites/neutrals are gorgeous together. I timeless look in my opinion. Sometimes I break away from this look, only to go right back. Love it!
Love the pin stripe one. Hard to choose though...love the unexpectedness of each.
Well you don't make it easy do you! They are all so lovely!
If you want the boys to be comfortable when they are home then I would see the sleigh bed image as a possibility, and the 4th one seems somewhat neutral and lovely at the same time...and I am also smitten with the blue room.
Have I helped in any way? :)
We too are looking to update our daughter's room now that she is off to school and my son's old bedroom which will now be a guest room. He has graduated to the basement.
Wow, I'd be thrilled with any of those rooms! Beautiful inspiration!
Love the inspiration. I had such plans for my daughter's room, when she first moved out at the ripe (not!) age of 18, but she kept coming home so often it never came to fruition. Eventually, The Man took it over as a man cave. There went my plans.
