Hello dear friends.
I’m dropping in to celebrate my half-way mark through my Yoga Teacher Training course. Whew!! I’ll be honest. I had noooo idea how much time would be involved in this course—my home projects and computer time have definitely been put on hold--- and that’s been hard for me, but boy, what a growing experience I’m having.
I sure miss all of you –but I hope to get back into the groove of blogging soon.

(the lesson I’ve been re-learning lately)
In the meantime thank you for all your kind wishes. I hope you’re enjoying this glorious month.
It’s my favorite time of the year.

  1. Leslie,
Congratulations on making the halfway point with yoga college.
These entrances are wonderful. I love what you've done, I've always wanted to write on a pumpkin and somehow have never done it. This is prompting me to tackle a project this weekend. I've got a couple of very large pumpkins, my autumn wreath and some rusty jack on lantern stakes up the walkway. This is my favorite season too, fingers crossed we can get some weather to match expectations!

  3. Love the orange boots and plaid wool throw. Looking for a new throw for our sun porch to go with a blue one we already have. We each need one you know! '-)
Our front porch has pumpkins at the base of the front porch flower pots and a large wooden jack-o-lantern. Lots of homes in our area are being attacked by giant spiders. Yikes!!!!!

  4. Omgoodness! The lace-ups!
Your collection of inspiration is timed perfectly for me.
I am soooo behind in my fall outdoor decorating! Weather permitting, the front of the house will make it's full transition tomorrow! ( We hit the pumpkin patch today!)
Congratulations on your half way mark, Leslie!

  5. These ideas are so welcoming and homey. Not a pumpkin in sight here. My front door is lookin' gnarly and mauve hued so maybe next fall we can laugh at its metamorphosis. Speaking of morphing that is what I find myself doing. Yep. I'm in chrysalis mode and turning to goo before I get my wings. And it can dark in here but it is also freeing and wonderful to trust the journey is taking me somewhere beautiful and new. I love growing! So glad you do too. Peace.

  8. That quote, "you can do anything, but not everything" really hit home for me over the last year. I am taking a lot of time rethinking what I can still physically do with my arthritic hand. And, I am okay with changing how I express my creativity.

Not much in the way of fall decor here this year - lots of pumpkins and fall mums.

  9. Love the hanging basket on your door. Very pretty and very festive. I'm fighting the cornstalks every time I walk through my front door. They look pretty, but messy, messy, messy.

  10. Wow!!! Leslie I am SO proud of you for sticking at your yoga teacher training. I remember when you first wrote about stepping out of your comfort zone to try something new. I take my hat off to you lovely lady (but I have missed you in the blog-sphere :-(

  11. I love all the images you pulled up for this post, especially the photos of your welcoming front entrance! I'm afraid all I've done this year is fill my window boxes with dried hydrangeas. We've already had snow here, so pumpkins and mums would have already frozen. boo. You're past the halfway point, so it's all downhill from here, right? Hang in there. I love the quote!

  12. Glad to hear the yoga training is going well. Love the front door photos. I wasn't very creative this year, mainly because our front landscaping is a jungle and I'd rather not cause attention to it...anyway, I am loving these cooler temperatures so maybe I will get inspired! Have a great week!

  13. Hi Leslie,
my favourite pic is the olive bucket. Gorgeous.
I have no decorations to share, have to find some time to take out my summer flowers from the pots around the house. I am glad to know that things are moving along with your yoga. I bet you will be so glad you did it, when it comes to an end. xx Nancy

  15. Well done Leslie, and I bet you're so proud of yourself to be half way already. The front porches look lovely. I have a out of control grapevine that I need to clip again. Each year I make a few wreaths from it. Maybe this year I'll make a big, fat one like the one you've shown. :D

I am glad your training is going well! The quote you shared is going up on a blackboard so I see it everyday...
