orange roses and seeded eucalyptus and a simple Fall table

Hello friends.
If you saw my Instagram feed yesterday you probably caught a glimpse of the seeded Eucalyptus bunch peeking out around my coffee mug.
Yessss!
I finally found some while I was out on errands and don't ask me why I can't find a single grocery store around here that carries fresh eucalyptus---but at this point, this stuff has become way too important in my flower-fixated head.

So of course, when I finally got my hands on a bunch
("oh my gosh you-have-it-here?!")
I did what every normal floraphile (made up word) does with their fresh eucalyptus.

I hung it from my chandelier.

And then I basically stood around and looked at it and I couldn't stop smiling because being underneath green, airy eucalyptus leaves is an instant mood changer.

Have you noticed this too?

And then one thing led to another and before I knew it I was cutting flower stems and putting them into a glass vase.
(and deciding that it looked too blah)
But then I remembered this piece of white bark I had leftover from last year that just needed a little trimming.
And voila. It became a cover for my vase.

Wood chargers keep the table more rustic and casual...especially since I have that vintage gold mirror in the room.

I added old brass candlesticks collected from thrift stores.
And if I had more time, I would've added those dark grapes into the centerpiece, because I love that color.

I hung burlap tassels from the dark, green wreath before I placed it over the mirror.

....and here it is, a simple Fall table

Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year?

If so, don't forget the extra bunch of eucalyptus for your chandelier. I tied mine with the green wire you get in the garden section of the local home improvement store.

I think your guests will love sitting underneath such a sweetly decorated chandelier!

Let me know how it goes.
