Repeat after me. I am a full-blast creative person.
(And chances are, if you’re reading this post, you really are one of those talented, artsy types).
But say you’re not. Or at least that’s what you tell yourself.
Then repeat after me. I love trying creative things.
Because really. There’s so many reasons you should develop your artistic side even if you don’t consider yourself the type.
Did you know that creative thinking actually reduces stress and keeps your brain healthy? In fact, did you know that creative people live longer. Yep, it’s right HERE.
So what kind of creative personality do you have?

Where do you find your inspiration?
Do you find it from a picture or a color you see in nature?
This is my personal decorating philosophy.
It pretty much sums up my attitude perfectly.
Why wait?
I see something I like and I immediately begin examining the details of color and structure and materials. My first thought is always admiration
because I adore the creative process and all those who throw themselves wholeheartedly into a project.
Whether it’s writing or painting, sewing or music, crafting or acting or blog design.
The most important part of creating is not worrying about judgment. From others or yourself. Silence that self doubting voice.
Are you trying something totally new? Get support from others.
My latest thing is photography. Do you want to improve your picture-taking skills?
I found a few more places HERE and HERE to keep me learning.
Remember.
Don’t be afraid to be different. Make bold choices. Stand out from the crowd.
What’s the worst that can happen? You don’t like it?
Well… guess what? You learned something.
LOOK how utterly unique this is…
That’s right. You’re looking at the ultimate creative event: a surprise WEDDING!
When I stumbled on this charm-filled post by Amy, the talented graphic designer of Saint Gertrude Design and Letterpress, I knew I had to share it with all of you. It’s one of those posts that will make you feel so good, I know I loved everything about it.
Just look at the guest’s faces. Wow.
Now that’s the beauty of creating real life moments….
How about you?
What are you working on?
xoxo

Your list reminded me of how important having a little book is and writing things down the second I think of them. The worst thing is thinking up amazing ideas right before I fall asleep and being too tired to get up and get paper and pen. I ALWAYS forget by morning. And I used to have to drive with my pen and notebook right by me. Driving is a great creative time. It's easy to get lost in thoughts in the car. Great post!

Leslie, I grew up with very creative parents and I learned early to color outside the lines. Great post!
